Morris Conservatory presents Spring Concert this Sunday

         SPARTA (4/28/08) - This Sunday, May 4, the Morris  Conservatory Symphonic Chorus and Orchestra will present a ‘Spring Concert’ at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 246 Woodport Rd., Sparta at 4 p.m..  Maestro Edwin Foster will conduct Franz Schubert’s ‘Missa in G’.  Erin Delaney, making her debut, will conduct ‘Johann Michael Hayden’s ‘Te Deum in D’.  Foster also will conduct the Conservatory’s Chamber Choir presenting  Johann Sebastian Bach’s ‘Motets 1 and 2’.  The Conservatory’s Mountain Lakes Advanced Youth Chorus will make a special appearance.  Tickets:  Adults/$25, Students/$17.50 (30% discount).  For information and tickets, please call:  973-402-2004.

     The Morris Conservatory is made up of the adult Symphonic Chorus and Chamber Choir, the Youth Divisions:  Mountain Lakes Choruses – Advanced (Gr. 6-10), Intermediate (Gr. 5-8), Junior (Gr. 3-4) and Primary (Gr. 1-2); Jefferson Township and Chester/Long Valley Choruses, both grades 3-8; Symphonic and Baroque Orchestras, International Touring Choir, Adult Education and the Preparatory Division Studios (private instrumental and vocal instruction) located in Boonton, NJ.  The Conservatory’s Symphonic Chorus presents two major concerts each year of classical choral and orchestral repertoire – as does the adult Chamber Choir.  Each of the Youth Divisions also present two major performances annually.
