 TRENTON (12/21/07) - Assemblywoman Alison McHose (R-24) testified yesterday at a hearing of the New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission reviewing the 2007 “New Jersey Fair and Clean Elections” pilot program. The 24th legislative district in Sussex, Morris, and Hunterdon counties was one of three districts participating in the pilot project.  McHose, her Republican running mates and their Democratic opponents participated in the project.   Full Story

  • Senior and Social Services thanks many contributors 

       MOUNT OLIVE (12/06/07) - Diann Brochu, director of senior and social services in the township, thanked “the boundless generosity” of the people who live here and the Mount Olive Area Chamber of Commerce which collected almost 2200 pounds of food for the Mount Olive Food Pantry during their Fall Food Drive. Full Story

  • Council orders demolition of Route 206 S eyesore 

        MOUNT OLIVE (12/06/07) The Township Council at its meeting on Tuesday ordered the developer who purchased the remains of a burned home on the south side of Route 206 to appear before the Council on December 18 to explain what is happening with the property. Full Story

  • Township to allow increased commercial vehicle parking 

       MOUNT OLIVE (12/05/07) A proposal to revise the commercial vehicle ordinance  to permit larger commercial vehicles to be parked in residential areas and do away with the provision in the current ordinance that vehicles be screened out of sight is being prepared for introduction next month. Full Story

  • Byram Officials to discuss Highlands Master Plan

          Byram Twp. (12/01/07) Three township planning agencies are meeting at 7:00 p.m. in a high profile meeting in the municipal building on Monday to review the recently released proposed Highlands Regional Master Plan (RMP).  There also is a possibility that the Council will be appointing a new township manager. Full Story

  • Morris Conservatory presentsTwo performances of “Messiah”
