Library offering moms workshop“Re-entering the Workforce” 

     MOUNT OLIVE (5/16/08) – The Mount Olive Public Library is offering a unique program that will assist women contemplating whether or not to re-enter the work force and if they decide to do it tips on how to go about it.

     Psychotherapist and mother, Diane Lang, will present a workshop Wednesday, May 28, on “Baby Steps:The Path from Motherhood to Career; Re-entring the Workforce.  The workshop is based on Lang’s book by the same name.

     According to Lang, considerable research has shown that many women who leave the workforce for pregnancy leaves are apprehensive about returning to work.  This workshop will examine such topics as a successful interview, dressing for success, explaining resume “gaps,” and explaining how a successful mother contributes to being a successful employee.

    Participants in the workshop also will have the opportunity to discuss their situations with other women with the same concerns.
