MOUNT OLIVE (11/14/06) – Residents wishing to be considered for appointment to fill the two and a half year unexpired term of Board of Education Trustee "Miffy" Ruggiero must have their resumes to the board by Friday.

The board will then consider applicants in an open session on Monday at the Board of Education Offices on Route 46 at 7 p.m. Upon completion of the interviews the board will retire to an executive session to consider a resolution appointing the successful applicant.

Ms. Ruggiero resigned late last month after serving one full three year term and nearly a half year of her second term. She was re-elected to another three year term last April.

In a situation like this the board has 65 days to fill the vacancy or it is filled by the Morris County Superintendent of Schools.
