MOUNT OLIVE (12/17/06) – Santa’s House on Route 46 next to George’s Store has received more visitors from far and wide this year than ever before and the visitors this year have included more humans, but more pets and public figures as well.

"We’ve been a little surprised by how far away people some people have come," said Brian Siegelwax, Kiwanis President. "We’ve had Pennsylvanians come to our projects before, but now we’ve got people coming from the Jersey Shore as well. We’re also seeing a greater variety of pets than ever before including a St. Bernard that was way too big for Santa’s lap, several cats, a rabbit and a guinea pig."

The Kiwanis will continue to operate the Santa House on Saturdays and Sundays throughout December from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. until Christmas. Children, pets and people of all ages are welcome. Photos can be taken with Santa for nominal donations The Kiwanis also is collecting non perishable food, toys, clothing and other items for families in need in the community.
