MOUNT OLIVE (12/28/06) – The Mount Olive Township Education Foundation (MOTEF) is currently conducting a fund raising drive to help pay for quality special innovative projects proposed by teachers and administrators that are not funded through the school board’s budget.

The foundation raises funds from corporate, public and private sources through events, contributions and charitable donations. All gifts are tax deductible.

Funds donated can be earmarked to go to a particular individual. As contributions are received the MOTEF sends a "Tribute Card" to the individual stating that a contribution has been made in their name with the name of the donor but not the amount.

The MOTEF is independent of the Board of Education. It’s board of trustees is made up of parents, local business people and residents who manage every aspect of the foundation. MOTEF is not funded by taxes.

Anyone wishing to make a contribution may call the Board of Education office at (973) 691-4000 for a donor card or mail a check directly to MOTEF, PO Box 355, Budd Lake, NJ 07828. The treasurer is Patrick Bent, CPA.
