MOUNT OLIVE (11/06/06) – John Mania’s campaign for mayor will continue right up to the end, according to his campaign manager, Chris Kenny. "We had a surprisingly strong "Get Out the Vote" effort over the week-end John is at his best talking to people and volunteers seem to become infected with his energy."

Anthony White, a young college student who made an impressive, but unsuccessful effort to win an unexpired council seat last year, coordinated this week-end’s effort having volunteers completely sweep all but one neighborhood in the township.

Every home in Flanders Crossing, Clover Hill, Carlton Estates, Kenneth-Richard Drive area, Stedwick Town Homes and Parkway-Old Mine area was visited and the response, according to White and Kenny was very positive. They predicted a record turn out for voters tomorrow.

Mania will be on the "trail" today and tomorrow, visiting all of the polling places to thank the poll workers and end the day at Kennedy’s Pub in Budd Lake to take the returns and hopefully celebrate victory.

His parting message to residents is to vote because every vote is important. Vote yes or no on the recall questions and then to vote for one of the candidates for mayor, hopefully him.
