TRENTON (12/13/05) – Assemblywoman Alison Littell McHose was unanimously elected Assistant Republican Leader, of the State Assembly Republican Caucus this week.

The caucus leadership crafts legislative strategy and works with all of the members of the caucus to determine the direction the party will take on issues that come before the Legislature for consideration.

"I am truly honored that my fellow legislators have entrusted me with this important leadership position, " said McHose (R-Sussex, Morris and Hunterdon). "This will allow me to be an influential voice in determining the direction our caucus will take during the next legislative session. "I look forward to working closely with Republican Leader Alex DeCroce and Conference Leader Peter Biondi to ensure we are responsive to the people, McHose said. "I know the caucus will continue to listen closely to what the citizens of this state are saying and we will push for policies that will address their concerns. "

McHose was a member of the leadership team in the current legislative session having served as Assistant Whip. She was elected to her second full term in the legislature in November. Her duties will begin after the Legislature reorganizes in January.
