MOUNT OLIVE (11/29/06) – The Township Recreation Department is looking to hire a number of new employees to work at Budd Lake next summer.

Recreation supervisor Jill Daggon said a beach activity coordinator and beach supervisors are needed as well as lifeguards. The beach director would oversee swim lessons, the pedal boat program, beach parties and special events.

Lifeguards must be at least 16 years of age and certified in CPR/AED for the professional and waterfront life guarding. Classes to qualify for these certifications will be held in the spring recreation department classes. Further information can be obtained by calling Jill at (973) 691-0900 Ext. 7261.

Also needed are a gymnastics instructor for all ages; a teen program coordinator to work with high school teen clubs, bands and other groups for monthly events such as band nights, trips, parties and dances.

Instructors with special talents to arrange special programs also are needed as well as a part time recreation specialist to work some evenings and week-ends for special events and trips.

Candidates should have good organization skills, general office and computer skills and be able to use MS Office programs including MS Word, Excel and Access and be able to handle customer service.
