Send your pet photos and brief description to webmaster@njhighlandsnews.com

A Reunion
After touring the country last summer the girls are reunited for a play date. Roo (right) spent Christmas in Vancouver, British Columbia and early spring in northern California before coming back east and settling in Brooklyn. Asha (middle) and Tao (left) are living in New Jersey and Asha was adopted by Tao's human's father and was given some much needed leg surgery.

Spanky
Dressed in the latest in designer PJ's and surrounded by a few of his favorite friends, Spanky is prepared for a long winter's nap.

Benji
Gone, but not forgotten.

"A Dogs Life"
8/15/2005 Frodo - a male standard chocolate poodle - takes an air conditioned afternoon nap.
"Roo" - Has made it to Alaska!
7/15/2005 Anchorage, Alaska – Roo (our traveling dog from below - now 53 pounds), pictured here with her canine traveling companions, "Tao"; (left rear) and "Asha" (middle), have arrived in Alaska after touring most of the northern states.
Tao joined the girls in Michigan. Her owner noticed Roo romping in a park, and brought Tao over to play. He then gave Tao to Amy and Aly, saying he was allergic to the dog, and had been looking for a new home for her.
Asha is a sadder story. While driving in Michigan the girls saw the car in front of them hit a dog. They helped the driver bring the dog to an animal hospital for treatment, and found she had a leg injury, was malnourished, and over 100 tics. The girls left Michigan, but returned for the dog (Asha) because they were afraid she would be sent to a shelter.
We have heard reports that "the girls" get into lots of trouble when they are left alone. They are very mischievous and work together to solve problems, such as opening bags of dog food and boxes of treats.
Roo thought the best part of going to the west coast was playing in the ocean! After touring the western states Roo and her human will be staying in New Mexico. While Tao and her human will return to New Jersey where there are several people interested in adopting Asha.

"Roo" - She's a traveling dog!
Roo is originally from Taos, New Mexico; she was starved and scarred from physical abuse when adopted by her Morris County owner. Recovered from her ordeal, the five month old, 40-pound happy puppy is now traveling with her owner on a trans-continental trip. Roo is pictured here in front of Lake Michigan with the Chicago skyline in the background.
Proud Parents adopt a "Hawaiian Hound!!"
ROCKAWAY - "Spanky" Moore-Sattely has never been happier now that he is with the new family of Adair Moore-Sattely and Richard Sattely!! A Maltese- Poodle mix, Spanky is 7 months old and already dressing up for his debut date!!
"Data" photo by Adair Moore
We'll kick off our first Pet Page photo with a picture of one of your Webmaster's dogs. Data is a Miniature Poodle of questionable heritage and sanity. He probably was a puppy mill dog and was abused by his previous owners. A little guy with a lot of personality and plenty of quirks who is ALWAYS interested in eating. Data is now about nine years old and suffers from Cushings Disease.
